AfricaOne Continent, Many Realities

A long journey through Africa, travelling solo by motorcycle and right in the thick of everyday life. Mariusz Sliwa travelled from Germany to South Africa and on to Kenya: more than 36,000 kilometres.

In his multimedia talk, he takes the audience through deserts, rainforests, cities and villages. He tells stories of muddy tracks and nerve-racking border crossings, of unexpected kindness and encounters that turned his ideas about Africa upside down.

Using his own photographs, videos and humour, he also shares the things that went thoroughly wrong along the way. An evening of stories, surprising insights and the urge to travel, with time for questions.

Want to know why getting from Brazzaville to Kinshasa is not so straightforward, even though only a river separates the two capitals? Or why driving on the right is open to interpretation on some roads in Mali? Perhaps you have a little more time and would like to organise an evening of talks about Africa?
Either way, do get in touch.

I look forward to hearing from you!
